may in new orleans

DSC_0169so i graduated college last saturday, left sunday for new orleans, and started ride for the future training monday. i’ve been so busy and flustered i don’t really remember what “typical” feels like, guess thats what happens when you decide to take a year off to travel. here is the i’ll be riding exclusively this summer, and here is tony packin ‘er up for our drive over the NOLA.

DSC_0196i spent sunday afternoon and night with tony’s college friend in the 7th ward. to sum the night up i’ll just say, we ate dinner in a corner store and slept on some sofas.

DSC_0118over the next two days i met my fellow riders. good thing i like them all, because we’ll be together now until july 31. here is all but one of us bumming around the french quarter.

DSC_0145we spent the afternoon in louie armstrong park enjoying the spring jazz festival. here are kaela and i gettin down the one of the madi grais indians. i quickly learned that they are a thing around here. and (real life friends, this one is for you) guess what i’m saying with my hand up like that in the picture below. you guessed it:”BYE“.
