Craft Post: Crochet Bike
Makenzie and i are crafters, although it might be hard to tell by our limited postes.
UNTIL NOW.
craft post quicky number 1.
This is my old bicycle. My bike in high school was stolen from the school parking lot and to replace it i ventured up to my family’s farm house to have a look in the barn. To my surprise this orange dinosaur was leaning up against the back wall. It was truly vintage and perfect for me in all ways, excluding the fact that it weighed almost 20 pounds, anyways i loved it from the beginning and even more after i made it a little bike cozy.
I crocheted this little cozy in four parts while working the grave yard shift at the front desk of my university dorms freshman year. I used a simple single crochet stitch and alternated colors randomly.
Makenzie and i become OBSESSED with crocheting each winter, this has been one of my biggest projects to date.
This bike was stolen from my boyfriends apartments a few months ago, the cable lock was cut and i haven’t seen it since. I now have a fixed up three speed (i’ll post about it later i’m sure).
Here are some old “crochet” bike memories:

I LOVE THIS!!!!!!! IS THIS ON MANDELL? I live on Mandell and castle court.
i assume you’re talking about the bridge. No, i think it was probably the Graustark (btw, totally had to look up Black Hole on Google Maps to get the correct spelling of “Graustark” HA ) Anyway, i always forget you live so close to Makenzie and I. Sounds to me like we need a neighborhood coffee shop date sometime soon.
