tomorrow keeps you guessing, the roller coaster’s rolling on
welcome to dena’s jam-packed weekend (4-21/4-22) post. here are a million and one pictures from the million and one things i did this weekend. nevermind that i have multiple of essays/group projects/homework-assignments-in-general due this up coming week – i am not the kind of girl who sits around at home, hangs out, or waits for something fun to come around. nope, i’m a go-getter and LOVE to going out and doing things around town (makenzie’s the same way, guess thats why we get alone so darn well).
friday i checked out the Frida Festival 2012 at East End Studio Gallery to share my love from Friday Kahlo – and support a friend
Next stop, Miller Outdoor Theatre for Core’s “In the Mood to…DANCE”. wow, sometimes i forget how freakin much i love live music and dancing. summer goal: take a new style of dance class (either ballet, modern, or west coast swing)
saturday morning brunch with mom. don’t ask what i ate, but it was homemade and good, not to mention BEST WEATHER EVER
from there i went to discovery green for a free yoga class – i took my camera but forgot the SD card so no pictures, guess you’ll just have to take my word on it.
saturday was also Houston Record Store day, so i spent a few hours checking out my favorite spots around town. allen oldies band was playing in front of sig’s lagoon. couldn’t help but dance in the street for a few of their songs. (btw, these are my favorite pants)
sunday 8am-5pm i went on a school bird watching trip along the coast. look at me – i’m in the front/right center of the group picture
procrastinated on getting homework done a little longer by hanging out with mak and friends at menil park – couldn’t help but bask in this glorious weather a little longer. Sunday night was a party in itself, stay tuned for a post including a special guest interview!
makenzie and I head a rumor last night that some of you guys can’t comment on our blog without a WordPress account? Is this true? Please let us know …
I can?
great – it was Brandi who said she was having trouble. humm… wordpress technological problems are over my head. thanks !
dear makenzie,
remember when we were walking away from menil park yesterday and you admitted to me that you sorta liked the maroon pants i’m wearing in the post. wow, i never thought you’d come around. i totally know what you’re getting for your next birthday!
your BFF,
dena
