so, in case you didn’t make it to the book club last night and therefore didn’t get to talk to makenzie or me in real life about our city hall experience let me just say that WOW i think it went well. i was first on the agenda to speak in front of the mayor/city council members. yes, i only spoke for 1 minutes but i was still mega nervous. if you’ve never been to a public session thing on a tuesday at city hall let me break it down for you: walk into city hall, show you ID and get an official badge for the day. go through a metal detector. go up the the 2nd floor. walk into what looks like a large wood paneled court room with lots of news cameras and police officers. sit down in pews. wait for your name to be called, go up to the podium/microphone and talk until the bell rings in which case your time has run out.

i’m searchin for the audio from the session, so i can link to you for all ya’ll who are interested in what was said … but can’t find it/don’t want to take the time to find it. so, i think i’ll just ask makenzie to find it. he he he, thanks girl.
