this friday mak + me + the bf went to a white elephant/dirty santa party. and no, “dirty santa” is not really what it sounds like. it’s just the kind of present exchange where you’re allowed to bring something used or weird or free from your house. and it was a major success.

look how cute we are. there were 40+ people playin the game. I was #13 and unwrapped mak’s present, a cute little bobble egg LED light from the CAMH gift shop. (mak tony and i totally had alliances going into it, we knew we wanted her gift and made eyes at each other when other things we wanted got unwrapped – so we could be sure and steal them for eachother)

here are some of the gifts:

we made a sorta rule that anyone who unwrapped a book had to open a random page and do a little reading. matt’s reading of Miley’s autobiography was by far the most entertaining !!!

i ended up with this cute little embroidery/ screen printed plaque thing that is now hanging in my room (thanks downtogether matt i LOVE it). i had to steel it from a girl who had just had her pillow pet stolen by Mak. sorry girl – we just really wanted you stuff.

then there was this really cool magic man who performed a million and one card tricks – all of which were “get out of town” freaking good. i squealed so many squeals. how do you do it magic man ?
