may in new orleans
so i graduated college last saturday, left sunday for new orleans, and started ride for the future training monday. i’ve been so busy and flustered i don’t really remember what “typical” feels like, guess thats what happens when you decide to take a year off to travel. here is the i’ll be riding exclusively this summer, and here is tony packin ‘er up for our drive over the NOLA.
i spent sunday afternoon and night with tony’s college friend in the 7th ward. to sum the night up i’ll just say, we ate dinner in a corner store and slept on some sofas.
over the next two days i met my fellow riders. good thing i like them all, because we’ll be together now until july 31. here is all but one of us bumming around the french quarter.
we spent the afternoon in louie armstrong park enjoying the spring jazz festival. here are kaela and i gettin down the one of the madi grais indians. i quickly learned that they are a thing around here. and (real life friends, this one is for you) guess what i’m saying with my hand up like that in the picture below. you guessed it:”BYE“.
Congrats on graduating & Enjoy year of travel. I am sure you will have an exciting time, meet lots of cool people and learn tons!
thanks shannon. keep reading to hear recap on my adventures!
