so, i did a sneak peak of my ruth house co-op bedroom last year a little after i’d moved in. i suggest you take a look at it prior to reading this post. HERE. it was clean and edited and i did that thing you can do on a blog where you stuff all the junk somewhere behind the camera and only show what you want to show. you know, making one’s life appear perfect. well, i’ve been living in the co-op with my 15 (for this week, we’re actually up to 18) roommates and the thing is, my room or life for that matter isn’t always “blog-style-perfect”. so i thought i’d show what my current. messy. bedroom is lookin like. hope you enjoy the sneak-peak + the honesty.

i’m so proud of my latest invention, aka “everything has a place”. that t-pin doubles as a glasses storage place.

that turquoise necklace (thatifoundintheurbanoutfittersdumpsterwheniusedtodumpsterdive) doubles as decoration, and jewelry, when the outfit is right.

don’t mind that cute little index card haning on the wall. just a list of my goals for the month.

i have more metal recipe boxes than i know what to do with. my favorite collection, note the 4 green ones a few pictures down. also, fun fact, i can never spell that word on the first try. “recipe”.

notice the shoes and jewelry spread around. i’m trying this new thing where i incorporate them into my overall design. why stifle them to one shelf or jewelry box when they can be making a statement and adding to the overall look of my room. it’s pretty much just a weird new thing i’m doing for the moment.
