makenzie + chris pollard (that guy i like so much that i see like never) + i went to japhet creek last saturday for a skill share workshop. it was much bueno, equal parts informative // fun // inspiring. also the weather was literally the best, so it was nice to be outside, in nature, but still inside the loop. we got there at 11am to support andrew and his brining // fermentation session. i have already put up a few jars of vegetables + brine (a homemade christmas present for someone special in my life) but was excited to get a demo on making kimchi/ sauerkraut (since i have some little cabbage heads growing my my backyard garden right now and love making perogies). i was also mega excited to get a kombucha mother – and have already started brewing my first round of bouch! also, matt trimble rode up and even though i saw him the night before at a house party – it was nice to see him in the day light. just friends and houston and sunshine and DIY-ness, lots of things i loving have in my life.
