Wanna Go Dancing?

2012 April 20

One of Dena and I’s favorite things to do is go dancing. I do NOT like to work out, and by work out, I mean go to the gym or run on a treadmill or take an aerobics class. This isn’t to say I don’t get exercise: I love to ride my bike, go dancing, jump on trampolines, and race my friends across the stage at Miller Outdoor Theatre (which we did last night he he he!)

Dancing is great because you get a work out without even realizing it! We come home drenched in sweat and totally worn out but I think it’s one of the few things keeping us healthy.

But what should you wear when you’re going out to have fun AND work up a good sweat?

Well, I like to wear shorts and a loose fitting button up. Heck, that’s what I like to wear everyday! Fun fact, I bought that shirt my first semester of college in which I dubbed it “My Favorite Shirt”. Dena wore it one time for a costume contest when she was Huckleberry Finn. It has since gotten many rips and holes and tears which I have lovingly stiched up with pink embroidery floss.

I think these shorts make my legs look really weird, especially with boots. Oh well, I feel like I look cute in them anyway. So I used to have really cool nice boots. I wore them so much the leather started peeling away (they were lizard!). My mom, sick of me going to every event in my tattered, yucky boots, made me throw them away over Christmas break. My dad gave me those old ropers to replace them. They’re too big for me since they’re my dads. But not that big.

Here’s Dena’s dance outfit. Notice those shorts, I’m pretty sure those are one of her favorite pairs. How nice are her boots? They’re Justin boots that she bought at Texas Junk. She also has a pair of brown two-tone boots that were her grandpa’s.

Since it was the day after her birthday, she wanted to wear her crown.

Do you like to go dancing? What kind of dance do you do? What do you wear?
