i heard about this Lengua show at Dean’s Credit Clothing last minute and decided i NEEDED to go. Lengua, houston’s newest local pop punk band, played a debut-ish show at Houston of Creeps during Houston Counter Crawl IV and i immediately fell in love. i mean, how could any Houstonian not swoon at songs about pizza, beer, and the bayou!

band members: Peter Lee on lead guitar + vocals, Kendall Bousquet on vocals + bass and Ari Alvarado on vocals +drums

the mood lighting set the punk rock tone and made for some pretty rad pictures

couldn’t find any links for Lengua – if you have one leave a comment. otherwise you KNOW i’ll be at their next show, and you should be too. anyone else know of any other hip new local bands i should check out?
